i) One question, three answers (Ac 2:37, 38; 9:6; 16:31). ii) Taking what God has given (Eph 2:8-10). iii) Confessing for salvation (Rom 10:9, 10).

a) Do they disagree on the actual writing? b) Consider:
i) One sign seen by three different people, all of whom say something slightly different. ii) Is there disagreement?
c) John recorded the full inscription while the other writers assumed it as understood.
i) The accusation is that one which they focus. ii) It was not that this man is Jesus of Nazareth, but that this man is “The King of the Jews.”
d) Consider also that it was written in three different languages.
i) Hence you may have three different translations offered. ii) There could be different wording for each of the languages.
27) Six days (Matt 16:28-17:2; Mrk 9:1, 2)/Eight days (Lk 9:27-29).
i) Matthew and Mark exclude the prophecy day and the actual transfiguration day. ii) Luke includes these two days.
i) Matthew and Mark speak precisely. ii) Luke uses the term “about.”
Conclusion and Summary:
Let it be seen that when the proper rules of understanding are applied, those who seek to discredit God’s word with their unsupported allegations will continually fail. The Bible has stood the test of time as the inerrant, plenary word of God (2 Tim 3:16, 17; 2 Pet 1:20, 21), and will continue to so do so (Matt 24:35). The historical, geographical, archaeological, scientific et al. facts which exist prove, beyond doubt, the trust worthy value of the Bible; hence there is no other book like it. In addition, the biblical unity, predictive prophecy and scientific foreknowledge give credence to the Bible’s factual content. As one writer said, “The Bible is unparalleled in human history and bears testimony to the fact that the very existence of it cannot be explained in any other way except to acknowledge that it is the result of an overriding, superintending, guiding Mind.”
As we have seen, when a person takes a little time, gives a little thought, and properly reads the text, there are no contradictions to be found in the pages of Holy Inspiration. Thus, the Bible’s inerrancy is not that of wishful thinking and hopeful scheming, but is that which is based upon proper examination of facts.
It is the hope of you humble teacher, thought director and fellow-student, that the things we discussed, particularly the rules set forth at the outset, will be helpful in the future as we all seek to “give a defense” (1 Pet 3:15).
I now close by saying: The Bible is absolutely innocent of the charges raised against it!
